Sinugbang Tamban

Last night, we ran out of stock in the refrigerator that’s why my mom and dad rushed to the market to buy something for our viand. Then they came home with a kilo of fish. It was a tamban (sardines fish) and they said they wanted to have it grilled. It was one of my favourite dishes as a child and I got very excited with their idea. During our dinner, I wasn’t really able to help myself but eat it with my bare hands! I missed eating it and it would be the best if eaten with boiled sweet potatoes!

Tumblebugs Craze

My mom used to be so crazy about Zuma de Luxe. But now, her latest craze is Tumblebugs. It is also similar to Zuma, but the characters are just lady bugs and other kinds of bugs. We understand that she enjoys playing the game. It seems to be her “past time”, a way for her to relax. It’s just that sometimes; she abuses her privilege to play. My dad is always pissed off whenever she sleeps very late at night because she’s already very hooked with her game. As much as we want to make her stop, we just can’t because she’ll find every reason just so we can let her play. I just hope she could realize our point very soon.

Wacoal Brassiere

Wacoal Bras are new to my ears. One time, there were imitations of Wacoal Bras displayed at the night market and I got so intrigued with it. I bought one and because it is only an imitation, it didn’t last for quite a long time. Now, I wanted to buy one. My officemate’s sister is a dealer of Wacoal and she lent me her latest brochure. However, I got discouraged to buy because it is quite expensive. It will cost me 10% of my monthly pay if I’ll buy one. I just hope my salary would increase soon so that I could really buy one.

Ukay-Ukay

My mom loves to shop for ukay-ukay. Ukay-ukays are second hand goods like clothes, bed sheets, blankets and curtains. It is far different from a garage sale because in an ukay-ukay shop, you have to dig into a pile of second hand goods to find a shirt or pants that’s still in good condition. I am always against the idea to buy ukay-ukay. But now that I earn my own money, I got influenced by my high school friends who love to shop ukay-ukay. Last Saturday was the first time that I bought ukay-ukay and I realized that it is so fun, especially when you are accompanied with friends!

California King Bed

You know my favourite song of the month?! It’s Rihanna’s “California King Bed”. I really don’t know why I seem to like this song so much. Maybe because I could relate with it.. or maybe I just liked the way she sang the song. Among Rihanna’s songs, I think only two of them are my favourites: Take a Bow and California King Bed. My mom even yelled at me in disgust because I keep on playing the song loudly in my room and I sing with it loudly. And now she’s pissed off with me. Hahaha!

Early Payroll

Does getting an early payroll an advantage or a disadvantage?! Our company is following the 15-30 pay day schedule but most of the time; our chief accountant makes sure that our salaries will already be given to us two or three days before the expected dates. This month, our salaries will be credited will be five days before the 30th. And I think it’s too early for the salary. We have to wait more or less 20 days for the next pay day to come. And that would be a disadvantage isn’t it?! The only advantage for early payroll is that you’ll get to enjoy early. But for people who are one day millionaires, then I guess they will suffer longer than the days they will enjoy.

Mending a Broken Heart

Often times, relationships end in a way that we least expected or we least pray for, should I say. I mean, everybody wants to have a fairytale ending of our respective relationships. However, as much as we want everything to end that way, it is inevitable to sometimes experience a tough break-up once or twice in our life (thrice would be too much! haha).
