baklavaDuring the turkish food trip, I had baklava a la mode for my desert. It was also claimed to be an authentic turkish desert. I didn’t have any idea what it taste like nor on what it looks like. My consolation that time is that it must be something sweet because it qualified to be called as a “desert”. After finishing our main course, the waiters automatically approached us and asked if they will already serve our ordered desert. Upon saying yes, it only took them five minutes or less to deliver the food to our table. It was a puffed pastry dish, served in a small plate with a liquid glucose, topped with ice cream and glazed with chocolate syrup.
