Ups and Downs

A friend’s food business began with one small cart. A few years after, they put up a restaurant and had several food carts stationed at different malls. Soon, they were able to buy real estate properties, build a big house, purchase cars and spend to their hearts’ content.

Unfortunately, fate struck. They were forced to close the restaurant and pull out some carts from the malls. Their house was foreclosed. All their cars were sold. They were left practically with nothing. And their children? One became hooked on drugs. Two were separated from their spouses. Another was reported to be jailed for a crime done. None of the children finished school.
